Experiencing these classics in stunning HD at a decent price is something that no DMC fan should refuse

User Rating: 8.5 | Devil May Cry HD Collection X360
I used to think HD collections were a bit of a gimmick. Ever so slightly updated graphics with some achievements and trophy support didn't really seem to catch my interest. But for barely over 20 dollars, i was humbled to say the least.

The Devil May Cry HD collection took me by surprise in the most pleasant of ways. Upon starting up the game, you're presented with a brand new menu that lists all three DMC games in order. After selecting your desired game, you must restart if you wish to change to a different one during your session. I played through both devil may cry 3 and 2 in the first 15 hours or so. From the first few minutes i started playing, I was very impressed. The cut scenes weren't tremendously different from their original appearances on the Ps2, but the in game visuals were breath taking.

All I can say is that the screen shots don't do this game justice at all. Just to see how much of an improvement this collection had really made, I booted up my play station 2 and Xbox 360 and ran both the old and remastered versions of Devil May Cry 3 simultaneously.

I was blown away. The clarity of sound and visuals on the HD collection compared to the original Ps2 version were so profound that it could have passed for an original Xbox 360 game. No graininess or blurriness was to be found.

In addition to completely overhauled visuals, the HD collection features around 99 obtainable achievements for the Xbox 360. It may seem trivial to some, but to me it provides additional incentive to invest time into these games again.

Overall I was very impressed with what this HD collection had to offer. And for only about 20 dollars used at Gamestop right now, you absolutely cannot go wrong.
