A game that will please fans of Donkey Kong, but disgust fans of racing.

User Rating: 9.1 | Diddy Kong Racing N64
One of the first (if not the very first) games to feature Donkey Kong's little buddy as the star of a game, Diddy Kong's Racing is a game you are really going to want to rent before you buy it for sure. Fans of the Donkey Kong series will love Diddy Kong's Racing, and even if you don't like Diddy you can choose to play as another of 8 characters from other games, like Banjo or Conker. A normal fantasy racing fan will probably dislike Diddy Kong's Racing. Chunky graphics and child-like BGMs aren't exactly boosting DKR's luster. But you can use rockets, boosts, and droppings to keep your enemies off your back. If you get tired of racing, you'll be pleased to know that there are 4 mini-games you can unlock for each of the 4 worlds. The boss of the game is a wizard/pig called Wizpig (what were you expecting?). You don't fight him. You race him. Oh, but to race him, you must get a piece of his amulet from each of the 4 worlds. There are 4 other bosses to fight... er, RACE, for each of the 4 worlds, and all of them not only get to start early but also are 3 times faster than you are, and the only possible way of beating them is to shoot them with as many rockets as possible. After you beat them the first time, they tell you to redo the world's races by getting first and getting 8 silver coins at the same time. Then you race their cheating butts again and by beating them, you'll get a piece of the wizpig's amulet. Diddy Kong's Racing: NOT Reccomended for anyone who dislikes animals or pointless themes.
