Inferior to Mario Kart in every way.

User Rating: 6.5 | Diddy Kong Racing N64
Diddy Kong Racing has a nice combination of a single player mode, which is a mix between Super mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, and a multiplayer mode. In Single player, your goal is to drive around and win races at multiple different tracks in order to earn balloons (similar to power starts), and advance to different areas of the world. The main focus in this game is finishing first, because finishing second or worst will have you retrying the race. Honestly, this isn't such a bad requirement for a regular race, but Nintendo decided to be a couple of buttholes and throw in the silver coin challenge. This is where you have to collect 8 silver coins (most of which are no where near the regular line of racing), and then you still have to win the race. Chasing these silver coins is truly no fun. Anyone who says that such a requirement is fun is lying to you. The Silver coin challenge is simply nothing but work. Thanks for Mario kart Nintendo, because you really messed up here.
