Good but not quite 'Definitive'

User Rating: 7 | Dishonored: Definitive Edition XONE

You can pick up this game for about £15 on xbox one which is an absolute steal all things considered. Its a great game with fun gameplay an interesting story and great level design. I would give the original game on previous consoles an 8, however this one comes off slightly worse because its a tad disappointing considering what its supposed to be. Although all pieces of DLC come bundled with (which are okay additions at best) the game doesn't live up to its definitive nametag. The game hasn't been refined or tweaked to improve gameplay, and all the problems that plagued the initial release are still present. The controls can often be clunky and unpredictable, the graphics aren't much improved and the game is riddled with glitches. The most alarming thing is the loading times, for a definitive version released on superior hardware it seems to take even longer, sometimes a few minutes. Its unacceptable and becomes increasingly frustrating. Its so disappointing that the game is hindered in these ways because its one that I would definitely recommend to all types of gamers. Hopefully Dishonored 2 will put most of these issues to bed whilst still keeping the same core concepts that make it an interesting and fun game.
