Underappreciated One word says enough. The small European Larian Studios did a good job.

Okay, not the top notch graphics but still very good dx9.

Okay, not the amount of voice over done by top actors like in dragon age. Not the hype telling us it is the messiah in rpg gaming.

I am a pc gamer and play every RPG I can lay my hands on. This game does a lot right and some wrongs like any other game. it is single player, no party, set in the stereotype fantasy environment. I am not going to spoiler all the game-play away in this review. It is good and as it should be.

It is more hack and slash, less planning. Still no button masher and you need to think. It has item fever and you want to bash every container for loot. The levelling does not take a major education and the skill tree makes sense.

The problem for the game are bugs causing deductions in score. So when patched the score rises but the damage is done in early reviews. I have not encountered game-breaking bugs. I had to reload once. What I do experience is a problem returning to desktop, but task manager solves that.

An other negative note is that the game in the latter stages has balance problems. 5 points deduction from 85 to 80..

This is a rock solid RPG. Yes it needs patching. Capital P patching.
