Not as good as the original

User Rating: 5 | DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition XONE

Audio:
The voice acting is solid but the real winner here is the sound track. It fits the game perfectly.

Visuals:
You can see quite a visual difference with this remaster but it's sort of ruined with the various bugs that you have to deal with.

Game Play:
Like all Hack n Slash based game play, It gets boring after an hour or two. DMC doesn't really bring much originality to the table here. It would have been nice to see them do something differently or add something new to separate it from the rest of the pack.

Other:
The story is awful. What's the point in having a move set when it's clearly a button mashing style game? Plenty of needless collectibles. No replay value. The Virgil's Downfall DLC is very short and can be quite frustrating at times. The game is filled with cheap and annoying deaths. Difficulty seems to flux at times no matter what level of difficulty you play on. The skin packs look like garbage. Painfully over priced at 40 dollars.

Overall: 5/10
Bugs, Flux in difficulty, and cheap deaths definitely bring the game down. Honestly, This is such a needless remaster. It really just comes off as a weak cash grab attempt. If you want to play it, Buy the much cheaper 360/PS3 version of the game if you haven't already.
