after the first 3 hours of shooting the EXACT same monsters constantly spawning right in front of me i was like wow this game has GOT to be over soon. So i forced myself to power play onward through the rest of the game and HOLY SH**. I honestly would like to start a lawsuit for mental/emotional damages after fully completing this game.
The entire game is a hallway.. Not only just a linear hallway but a hallway you have to backtrack through multiple times to do the SAME thing over and over again. Every level is set up so that you have to go to the very end just to obtain a keycard to unlock a door back at the begging. If not a door you need a part for a machine or an elevator or some other mechanical item. If they did this once or twice it would be understandable but they RUTHLESSLY employ this strategy turning the entire game into a living nightmare. You have to go to the end of every level shooting the same enemies hundreds of times just to turn around and go back to the begging shooting them all over again. Forcing myself to complete this game was self mutilation and abuse. The game took me a whopping 8 hours to complete but it felt like a million.
Nothing is good about this game. Nothing. The guns are completely lackluster, they are generic, no-named guns that are made out of grey putty. The pistol, shotgun, and assault rifle are so bland that they are completely cringe worthy. The gun sounds are some of the worst i've ever heard in a video game. They sound like they are muffled or 100 miles away.. They do not have any raw crack sound to them at all.
The story is a joke. An experiment on mars gets sabotaged and now you have to run to the other end of the facility to call for reinforcements.. THATS IT. Thats the entire story/objective of the game. Your thousands of miles of running/backtracking is just to simply call for reinforcements.. I guess a science facility made of nothing but billons of dollars of NANO-TECHNOLOGY has only one computer that can send a request message for help. Its just plain dumb.
Anyone who thinks this is a good game is mentally challenged. People just like the idea/roots of doom and the aura that surrounds it. This game is torture to play through, torture.
