A decent continuation of the original story and characters. Longer than the DLC but not quite worthy of $40.

I had a good time fighting the darkspawn again, but the addition of the talking darkspawn, architect, mother, and the new slug-like adaptations were dull. The levels were mostly linear, save for a three: black marsh, the forest, and the new-found fissure into the deep roads.

The characters were OK. While I enjoyed have Oghren in my party again, I missed the other characters. While Anders was more entertaining than Allistair, and Nathaniel was mediocre, most of the new characters were dull.

I really didn't use the new features much: traps, new skills, etc. I would have been much happier had they progressed more with the templar/warrior/battlemage type skills and abilities.

Overall, this was better than the Morrigan, Golum, and a few other pieces of DLC, but definitely not worth the full asking price of $40. Now that it's super-cheap due to its age, it's worth getting if you enjoyed the original game.
