Nervous at first, but it turned out to be great! Best RPG I've played since Baldur's Gate 2

First of all, don't listen to anyone who hasn't played for more than 10 hours or so. The game doesn't get awesome until after Chapter 2. That brings down the score a little and maybe the crazy stat system and the need to find an FAQ online to understand how the stat system works makes it a little lower as well, but once you learn the system, the game is fun and challenging. I also like how stats affect everything... though, I guess if you're not good at math, you might have a tough time figuring out how to assign your experience points.

Once you get out of the city and start questing, the game is so much fun. Combat has excellent animations and is interesting. I never had a problem with camera controls, though it could, I suppose, in some areas be a little annoying to get a view you like. I think as long as you've played a lot of floating camera angle games before, it's kind of easy to navigate around. I think the only failing of the graphics is the character modeling, they are a little old, but having the flashiest graphics does not make a good game.

The storyline is really intriguing and there are even a few surprises in it. Well, one or two things I didn't see coming. There are a lot of "fed-ex" style quests in the beginning so it's kind of slow, but tough it out through this to find probably the best RPG you'll play this year. Can't wait for the prequel to come out in English.
