Driver Parallel Lines meets up to some standards, and is a well based mission driving game.
Now that is out of the way let me tell you about Driver PL. Driver is based in New York City and the date is 1978, you do some missions for a guy named Ray & Slick where you stay at his garage untill you get well known in the driving circut. after that you move up get your own loft and make more money not to mention you also get more weapons. All the missions are mostly driving around pick up loans from people that owe money to certain people and you get it back to them and you get a reward depending if you take a hard mission or easy you will get paid more. There is also missions where you have to pick up cars from gang members that owe people money and you do this with a time limit and a toe truck, it's pretty fun but sometimes could be hard because you have gang members shooting at you and could shoot out your tires, also the car you picked up has a damage meter so you gotta becareful at times.Muscle cars,sports cars big rigs, over 80 vechiles to drive and don't forget the motorcycles they are fun to drive as well, but if your asking i love my American Muscle cars. You also have a garage where you can improve the handling of your ride and performance parts, bullet proof windows,tints,bullet proof tires, it's all there.
The graphics are well done and could be a little bit sharper but overall it's an improvement from the past driver series.
Controls are the same i found from DRIV3R which isn't the best but you have to get use to them, but driving controls are superb and easy to use from the get go.
Sound in the game is well done and let me tell you the music is perfect for the 70's like my favorite song in the game is "War Low rider"
Overall this game is worth checking out if your a fan of the series or you like shooting guns while you drive your American Muscle car down the road, you will be amazed and suprised how much fun you can have in a day with a game such as Driver Parallel Lines.
