This game is just pure fun. Most of the reviews I read complain that it's too light on content or not deep enough, which to me is the same as people who complain about single player games not having multiplayer or an adventure game having only 30 hours of gameplay. Quantity does not mean quality. No it's not Forza or Gran Torismo. Yes it is lighter and fluffier than most popular racing franchises. But this flakiness is not a defect to me at all, it's part of the game's appeal. This is buttery-croissant light and fluffy, not rice-cake light and fluffy. The concept is simple, the graphics are merely adequate, the music is straight out of the hair band 80s, and the gameplay is absolutely fun, addictive, wild, and thrilling. Who cares if it's not the "total package?" Who says it has to be? Game quality shouldn't be based on some predetermined color by numbers guide, but on the total experience. The whole is sometimes greater than the sum of its parts. Definitely true here. Forget all the 6s and 7s this game got in the press. It's one of the best games on the Wii.
