Revolutionary with touch of humour and laughter but without its drawback.

Fable. Fable. Fable.

We are back again to the fabulous world of Albion with Fable 3. To those who haven't played the previous version bear in mind that Fable 3 set precedence after the event in Fable 2 but fret not dear ambitious Heroes as you won't have to play Fable 2 to play (or grasp) with this new instalment to the series. This is because being true to what the developer said about revolutionary they not only being kind enough to revolutionise the story but also the game world as a whole.

Note: My xbox isn't connected to the net so I don't know whether there's an update or not nor would I know any multiplayer bugs.

If you don't know the story of Fable 3 then I will give you the short version. The short version is you being a prince/princess trying to overthrow your brother from the throne. The throne that your parent(old heroes from Fable 2) seized/created. Talk about short version eh.

Well then, like I said don't be afraid if you haven't played Fable 2 because it won't have any big changes to the game as a whole (just a few minor parts).

Unfortunately I haven't finish the game yet as I enjoy doing sub quest rather than complete the main story (I believe that is what Fable is all about [exploring and quests]) and currently I am somewhere in between Reavers and the king speech.

Now, F3(Fable 3) change the Fable world in a large way (did I said that already? Whatever!). Firstly in F3 your character talks! Yes he/she talks rather than showing a thumbs up or a thumbs down or making faces and whatnot like in the previous series. This is a huge leap because all this time I thought my heroes are (sorry to say) mute and only know ridiculous sign languages but now my hero talks and know sign languages. WOW!!! Yes that's right, although your hero/heroes(multiple character) will talk (in a nice/harsh way) during cutscenes/decision point he/she will still continue to use sign language during your normal interaction with the population of Albion. But rather than being able to choose what emote you want like its predecessors in F3 you won't be able to choose, because it is all a preset rolling emotion with simple controls. No more green bar that keep reducing for you to achieve a great score instead an easy push a button and wait till a full circle form around the button that you push. Easy as pie.

Secondly, no more health/mana bars but instead the screen will grow redder and a helpful hint will tell you that your about to die (don't think that you wouldn't) but you are somewhat born capable with unlimited mana point so you will be able to happily burn/shock/push/other magic thing without worrying of running out of mana thus making mana potion obsolete but health potion still available along with food wise. So being overweight is possible if you're not watching what you are eating.

And thirdly, you will be introduce with your very own Sanctuary that come with a massive round table of the cities and places of Albion and its surrounding. This is where you will be able to see quests and do other things (fast travel, buy buildings, repair them etc.). Your Sanctuary not only have a table but also have a teleport thing(forgot the name) to beam you to a place called Road to Rule where you will be able to upgrade your melee/magic/ranged but also discover new packs and emotion and spells. Lionhead Studios decided to make it easy peasy by abandoning the will, strength and the other two that I can't remember and instead they put it all under one roof; a Guild Seal roof. Guild Seal is your new experience point where you can use for all the things that I mention before (magic and such).

Your Sanctuary also comes with 4 separate rooms (weapons, clothes, trophies & multiplayers) where everything made easy to you. So no more long list of weapons and such but instead a nifty cabinet/model (you got to see it to believe it).

But sadly, because it is revolutionary it comes with revolutionary issues aswell.

The graphics and game performances of F3 is solid with an improvement from its predecessors but it is also comes with flaws. Flaws like the dotted line of a quest can sometimes be confusing as they will tend to show you the wrong way (i.e Saul 'An Ancient Key', the yellow dot shows me that Saul is next to the academy somewhere inbetween the hairdresser house and the academy but actually he is inside the academy) and because there isn't any map that you could double check (being the map on the table also shows Saul standing next to the academy plus the map isn't an accurate map) leads me to wander around looking for him for a few minutes. Some missing colours/pixel can be seen in certain secluded area (i.e in bowerstone industrial there is a door without any colours just a gray/white).

Your trusty companion sometimes will pause or stuck in between rock/trees whenever he smells treasure/digging area and you have to push him to make him move.

You could be buying the same equipment or clothes twice because given the absences of a simple 'owned' word on them will sometimes make you waste few thousands gold.

And lastly occasionally the combat system can confuse you as you won't be able to tell who are you targeting but this is not a big issue.

Well other than that this game certainly live up to the expectation(atleast my expectation) by being creative, funny, and obnoxiously gnomey(no more gargoyles). LOL.

This is my point of view, please remember everyone have their own views. If I am wrong about certain part of the game I sincerely apologies.
