Final Doom will have you gasping for air as you drown in this endless sea of blood and glory.

User Rating: 7.5 | Final DOOM PC
With the mighty success of Ultimate Doom and Doom II, Id Software apparently felt that they should give Doom one final show before closing it down to make room for Quake. At the same time, they seemed to be to lazy to do it themselves, or, as I like to think, they felt it was time to put the giant Doom modding community into the spotlight, which is what they did. Both the Plutonia Experiment and TNT:Evilution, were created by contracted teams who were both popluar in the Doom community. Both teams were already known for making Grade A quality Doom levels, and all that needed doing was now to make money! Despite hundred of maps across the internet, these two extra episodes gave fans the chance to not only show thier amazing skills off, but also a chance to contribute to the Doom continuity.

Plutonia, the first episode, starts Final Doom quick and hard, VERY hard. Right away in the first level you facing hordes of deadly monsters right from the get go, armed with only your handgun, possibly a shotgun, and your wits, but mostly your wits, and speed. Perhaps the hardest Doom .wad of all time!

As for TNT, I have not yet had the pleasure of getting too it, as I am writing this review while still going through Plutonia. I'll get to TNT soon though. From what I've heard, it progresses like Doom and Doom II, but none the less shows us quality map-making.

MULTIPLAYER:
Multiplayer is the same as the previous Doom games.

MODDING:
While no new monsters or weapons are present, both Episodes contain a large variety of brand new textures to create user made maps with.

FINAL WORD:
Final Doom is not for the Doom Newbie. I suggest experianced players only. If you start your Doom experience with Final Doom, well, then... You'll probally whip through the previous installments when your done with this one.
