Fun, engaging and it's D&D!!

D&D games are oftenly bad games right? Hell yeah. But this one is different, like baldur's gate, and NWN.
While it doesn't look like D&D system, it does have some similarities, and if you are an experienced D&D player, you'll find out what classes are the characters, which skills you would prefer to upgrade, and you will be very happy to see Faerun as you imagine in the table.
The intro video instantly transport you into the Forgotten Realms background, with an well written story and good voice acting.

The graphics are cool for the time when the game was released, some weird animations, like the weird "i just got my pants dirty" walk that the fighter performs in the videos. But this little detail do not spoil the rest. Very well Designed provides good challenge... good graphics overall.
The sounds are great, sword tingling, magics, ambient... every thing is believable and well put together.
The gameplay is pretty much just button smashing... but: it does have cool power features, and a strong "i'm defending people here" feel. The mage/monk does not stay behind his partners in a power matter. It is very cool to play with the mage, and it is the coolest character to upgrade (to me at least, and believe me, i always play with fighters/paladins).
The challenges and bosses are not repetitive, and are very fun! Requires a little bit of thinking, but nothing incredibly desperating. It is a hard game? Not really... does have it's moments, but they are in the right places. Even though it could get harder some times...
The best hing in the game i guess, it the variety of situations.

*When you go around with a giant magic armor controlled by the mage and swipping your axe killing 50 orcs each strike it's hell cool!*

*spoiler green alert*

Does have it's flaws? Yes. Kind of repetitive some times, too long stages, could have some more exploring, But it's a great game for D&D fans, and for good ol' fantasy hack n' slashes.

Buy it! I recommend!
