Poll Which do would you prefer... (9 votes)

A copy of a sports game every year (really just updated rosters anyways) 33%
Paid DLC to get new roster (keep all your progress on current copy of game) 67%

would make since to release a baseball game, and update the roster every year with paid dlc ($30)? Since that's pretty much the only thing that changes with every sport game release, is the rosters. Especially seeing as most games are or will be 4k this year, graphics won't change, and if they do, we all know it can be updated via a patch (like ps4 pro games gothat graphic updates through patches)

Many sports enthusiasts I know say all sports games should just update there rosters every year with paid dlc ($30 for dlc pack with new roster).

Release a sports game with just the current year roster, release the new roster yearly (instead of a whole new game) through paid dlc ($30 nothing more) and even make it an option to buy old rosters ($9.99-$19.99) or individual players from old rosters ($1.99).

Saves the company money from paying for more servers (instead of a server for a 2015 game, a 2016, and a 2017 game, they just have one server for the game) manufacturing, distributing & putting it on store shelves every year.

Better for the consumer, who has career stats/profile/achievements on the game (all of which is then irrelevant once a whole new copy of a game is released, seeing as most people pick up the new copy and drop the old one) and wouldn't have to start over new, on a new version of the game with basically just an updated roster.

Everything can basically be updated through patches now a days anyways. Don't know why sport games haven't done this yet?..smdh.

Win win for everyone!
