Divorced, and never wanted a kid with my Ex then. Now I'm with my new girl for about 3 -4 years and we have a little girl together.

Single, I love living alone. Technically have the dogs, but they're basically people without the trouble people inherently bring.

Single and loving it.

No shade at people with kids or in a loving relationship with people, but I just can't imagine waking up to the same people day after day, the same person in my bed.

I do miss pets. My landlord doesn't allow them, but I'd love to have a cat or a mellow dog.

I have roommates and while it's nice having that contact and living with people to an extent, I think I might like living alone at some point.

Alone =/= lonely, a point many people ignore.

I dont know why, but I hear the same line of argument from so many 'alone' women. Why do you search for excuses?!

I am alone because I am not popular on Tinder.

I live with my girlfriend. Don't see a point in getting married, find it ridiculous. Don't want kids.

Yea, had to share this house with my brother and his girlfreind, needless to say it was a nightmare.

As soon as they got the boot, and just the dogs, their superiority became apparent.

Not excuses, just facts.

I see my family--my mom and dad, sister and brother in law, niece and nephew--just about every weekend; I also have my aunt and uncle and cousins in the area as well. I'm playing in two D and D groups so I get to hang out with friends a lot. I work in a really cool job with some great people I am lucky enough to call friends in addition to coworkers. I enjoy chatting up strangers if they initiate. If I want to just hang out I can go to the living room and watch a movie with my roomies.

I don't think that sounds very lonely, but maybe that's just me. I was just never sold on the whole American Dream of buying a house and breeding. World doesn't need more people in debt birthing more people to put in debt.

The american dream is to buy a house and breed? sounds like a nightmare. Why dont you drop all that network of family trouble? I stopped talking to all my family members and I am so happy about it.

Got a English bulldog and a cat but no kids.

I want kids though, probably will start trying soon after the wedding. I'm pretty stoked about it.

Fair enough, but a lot of people who are single and not happy try to rationalize it (not saying this is you). I'm single right now and not especially upset about it, but I think that's because I have no social life and don't know any women I'm super interested in. I bet if I did go out more and met people I'd really like to be in a relationship with I probably wouldn't be so content being single.
