I think i bit off more than i can chew with this 4k one tbh its 27 inches, and its a great monitor perfect picture etc wonderfully built. but when i play games below the 4k resolution they get kind of blurry. I intended for a 1440p monitor but they seem to be like none existent so i paid like 340$ for this one, and i'm not impressed.

A question i have if i get strictly a 1440p one thats 27 inches will games be blurry? on a larger screen or because they are being played native to the monitor will they be sharp?

What are you talking about? 1440p is the most popular resolution on 27" monitors, and yeah, the image would be sharp at native res. If you want a sharp image on a 4K display, you have to run games at 1080p in order to get 1:4 pixel scaling, rather than whatever bullshit 4K to 1440p is, which makes the image blurry.

Yeah... you can't throw a rock without hitting a 1440p monitor. I bought this one recently: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/professional-model/UM.HV7AA.003

It was on sale for like $175 or something - really nice monitor for the price. It won't blow anyone's mind with features but the image quality is great, it's > 60Hz, it has Adaptivesync, and good response times. Just a good affordable monitor for quality gaming.

Yes and they're awesome. Best mix of resolution while not sacrificing performance.

1440p @ 144 Hz = winning.

I was asking because every monitor i was looking at was 4k or 1080p

I finally settled on

Acer KG271U Abmiipx 27" WQHD 2560x1440 DP HDMI 144hz 1ms AMD FreeSync 2K LED Gaming Monitor - Walmart.com - Walmart.com

I did buy a 4k one but i returned it. Because it wasnt downscaling well and on my 2080rtx super, last thing i wanted was to play at 4k and bottleneck the performance on it. figured 1440p would be a good upgrade from 1080p
