For a time, the 1080ti was the go-to card for 4k gaming. Now, that's no longer a thing to bet on, but even so, for all of you out there who still hold on to your aging card, what games DO you play in 4K that you still find enjoyable? New or old, high or low FPS. Other variables don't matter other than 2160p and you enjoying the game that way.

I used to own a 1080 Ti and never found it very good for 4K. I later bought a 2080 Ti and it also wasn't that good for 4K. Now I have a 3080 and it does alright, but I find myself relying on DLSS a lot. So, 4K/60fps or higher is still not very realistic for the latest demanding games. With a 1080 Ti, I wouldn't bother with 4K unless it is a potato game.

I frequently enjoyed Elite Dangerous at 4k. Cause its more than playable at 60fps. Wouldnt touch it for FPS games tho, need dat 144hz.

@BassMan: "Even if you shouldn't" is in the title. You don't need to repeat what I'd already stated. Even if there's just one game, only one, that fared okay for you in 4K, it belongs in this subjective list.

Gotta say: no issues here. I just stick to games that released a few years ago.

Games that run fine at 4K/60:

-Far Cry New Dawn

-Ryse

-Wolfenstein: The New Order

-Sunset Overdrive

-Rise of the Tomb Raider

-Quantum Break

-Metal Gear Solid V

-Assassin's Creed Unity & Syndicate

Well optimized UE 4 games also seem to run fine (Jedi: Fallen Order, Maneater, ...)

Games so far that I had to run at 1440p to get stable 60fps:

-Assassin's Creed Valhalla

using an 8700K \ FTW3 1080 Ti on a 55" LG CX,

had no issue with Dark Souls 3 in 4K, stayed right on 60fps. the game being locked at 60fps is still a bit disappointing, but it looked great at 55".

also tried out Dirt 3. averaged ~90fps with highest settings.

i would much rather be playing on my 1440p 34" ultra-wide though. everything is much more immersive and after being used to the 21:9 field of view, 16:9 always feels a bit cramped now. haven't found a game yet that doesn't offer 21:9 even though some i've had to use mods and\or custom file editing.
