Hi,

I just bought GTX16504GB, i liked the card but now i got option to trade it with Xbox Series S. I am kind of confuse right now, which of these is future proof ? Xbox Series S can run UE5 quite easily because it has 8GB memory, while GTX1650 got only 4GB memory, it might not able to run games on UE5. Kindly suggest.

You do what fits your needs better. No one here can tell you what you'd benefit more from.

You'll have lots of good stuff to play on either of those, bit there are a couple things to consider.

If future proofing is your main concern, the Series S is probably the better option. That thing will run all the new games for at least 7 years.

If you're mostly going to play older games or if you like Japanese games, you may want to stick with the 1650. Seems like a lot of JRPGs are skipping Xbox this gen.

Either of those will play lots of awesome games though. There is no bad choice here.

Honestly, both are shit tier. Neither is good for next-gen gaming. So, it comes down to whether you want access to all that PC has to offer or be limited to the Xbox ecosystem.

@judaspete: My only concern if this card can run UE5 engine games on low or not, as games can be modified on series S.

@BassMan: On a series note, I just hate xbox exclusives, my only concern if this card can run next-gen AA games on low-med settings even in 720p will be ok with me as i rarely do gaming.

@Hashim19: keep the GPU then its still very servicable and nowadays even low/medium settings will look just as good.

Why would you want to play games on low settings? games on console run on medium settings - if you want your system to run games uglier than the standard the game devs attended you to then go ahead, I guess?

Combined with modern CPU and 16Gb of RAM you should be able to do 1080p gaming quite well, even high graphics.

For next gen games I'd say medium should be fine.

This to me seems to be a case of whether you prefer to play games on a PC or a console. If you prefer PC and the flexibility it has then keep the GPU. If you prefer the console experience then get the Series S.
