Hey, all! I'm looking into investing in the best monitor I can use for the entire next gen with my future PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. I have a few choices I'm looking at and would like to read your input on them and which is the best decision for gaming and why.

Asus VG268QE

Asus VG278HE

Asus VG23AH

Thanks for all of your help. And I also have one more question for the ones who have experience with console gaming on monitors. The new consoles are connected through HDMI and I read that the only way to get the best refresh rate and response time is to have it connected through DVI and the only way that can be possible is through a HDMI to DVI cable, but the catch is that it will remove the audio so I need a way to bring that audio back. Can I use speakers and/or headphones to output the audio while the console is connected through HDMI to DVI?

Consoles only output 60hz, not 120hz. If you get a 120hz monitor for a console, it will just be a waste of money.

And this goes for the next gen consoles too right? Is 60hz and 60fps the same thing by any chance?

Any recommendations for a future proof monitor that I could get for the next gen consoles and one day possibly start pc gaming?

There you go 27" 1080 led 2MS response 2 HDMI $250 ($230 after rebate) plus there is a $20 promo code that ends today, so total after all that is $210 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236295&Tpk=VE278H

Looks good to me, it looks like it has 3.5mm audio out so you can plug in headphones for audio rather than using the crap built-in speakers.

Aren't HDMI and DVI the same signal but HDMI has audio? Don't worry about using DVI...
