Hi Folks-
Got some money and want to do a new build of sorts, specifically a micro-ATX build. Why? I think it'd be fun, and for better or worse I bought this big cube of a case and while it's really nice, I'm looking to downsize. I'm also looking to get a new, smaller desk and this would help a lot.
A. So, my first few questions are:
- Any experience with micro-ATX builds? Seems like there's a lot of options out there.
- Anything to be wary of? Any of you think "no no no" when you hear the idea?
B. Now, while I'm doing this build and getting a new mobo (my current one is regular ATX), I was thinking I might upgrade my processor as well.
- I've gone AMD for the past few builds (current CPU is AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, still pretty good right?), and haven't really paid much attention to what is out there as far as Intel goes. Any recommendations?
- My requirements are pretty much just gaming. My GPU will be an RTX 3080, and I'd stick with 32GB memory unless I find a deal on 64 GB (I know 64 GB is overkill but then again for how long would it be? lol
Thank you in advance for any advice or tips you provide.
