I haven't played games for a quiet long time and I want to get back but I don't know much new games, I want to have modern experiences.

I already plan on playing Hitman (2016 and 2) and GTA V. What else do you recommend? PC only please.

Best bet if to use Steams user-reviews and filter by "user-reviews" on a genre you enjoy.

@hjyfbnm: Final Fantasy XV is pretty good, IMO. Thrilling story, great voice actors, excellent graphics, and Awesome combat!

Fallout 4 is pretty good, too!

Oxenfree; Life is Strange; Daemon_9; The Lion's Song; Night in the Woods; Supposedly Wonderful Future; Mad Max; Rakuen; Near Death; >observer.

That is my top 10 off the top of my head from the last 4-5 years. I'm probably forgetting some but oh well. I would saya good idea would be just start trying out any free demos that have been released the last few years or go by user reviews like another user has said.

This seems like low hanging, but there is the witcher series.
