So, the PSPgo is exactly the same size as the NGP screen size.

No. NGP screensize is 5 inches. It's a little bit bigger than the original PSP's 4.3 inch screen. PSPgo had 3.8 inch screen.

I think Shaw was refering to the PSPgo as a whole. So ya, the PSPgo is the same size as the NGP's screen

I'm used to lugging around my 1000, so size should not be a problem.

The more I see of this thing, the more I want it. That size looks perfect for the way I want a handheld.

The PSP-300 is the slim version right? If so then the PSP2 is smaller than I thought, it's only slightly bigger.

Yeah, the 3000 is the smallest version of the PSP.

I am happy with the size of the NGP. You just know that there will be a NGP Slimline to follow in a few years. Since Sony has had a slim for all of its Consoles PS1/PS2/PS3 and the PSP.

So in the next generation of handhelds I will be buying 2 NGP's. The orginal this fall and the Eventually NGP Slimline.

Just don't go overboard with the NGP redesigns like the PSP. Since 2005 There have been 4 versions of the PSP 1.

NGP is good with the size aspect.

Size doesn't seem to be a problem. I won't keep it in my pocket for multiple reasons. I hope its sturdy.

I cant wait to get my hands on PSP2 because as it stands, the buttons/analog sticks seems small and uncomfortable.

Holy crap that thing looks hideous. With a decent case you can forget about stuffing it on your pocket too

Personally, I don't think they'll come out with a thinner version. This thing is already thinner than the 3000. Any thinner and it might feel like it'll snap.

If they do come out with a new iteration, it'll probably be an update on it's hardware.

Some people define portable as something you can carry in your pocket while I define it as something you can carry along with you, which dosen't cause you any distress by it's weight. Some things are more portable...some are less.

I will take the larger, less portable NGP over the smaller, more portable, fit in your pocket PSP Go any day of the week.

A handheld with a 5"OLED and PS3 power???? That's all the portability I need!!

I just have one major beef with Sony with this new PSP.

It took Sony 6 years to come up with the next gen PSP(and 5 years for the PSPGo). And now they announced the PSP 2 for this fall(i recon).

It would be better for Sony to say that they have a PSP 2 in "the works" and it will come out Fall of 2012 then put this "tablet" sizes PSPout!

But now that the 'cat is out of the bag' it will take another 5 years for a truly 'Partable' next PSP (PSP 2 Go), while they could be working on itright now!

Know what i mean???

Nice, thanks for the post! I can't wait for this NGP to come out so I can get a look at it up close! Too bad it doesnt take UMDs though, but as long as they still sell games on a physical media at actual stores It's all good. the Ipod touch and Ipad are download only (with no expandable storage that I know of), so I dont even consider them serious portable gaming devices.

Seems like it will be a good size. I'll trade a bit of size for a 2nd analog stick anyday.
