GAME: Observer System Redux showing some next Gen graphics

A short video released yesterday by the Dev team of the game shows off some of the capabilities of next gen hardware (no idea what it is running on). They do a screen swipe between the old systems vs the new systems.

Most of the graphics are vastly improved (especially character models), I did find that occasionally when they showed the next gen lighting that the image looked like the gamma was too high and the image looked washed. (watching in 4k on an HDR screen)

Graphics look truly next gen, it's insane just how much they crammed in here. I especially love the new character models and volumetric lighting.

I hope they will do a PC version too.

Will be surprised if they suddenly announce running on Series X. Not even 1st party titles run on Series X!

I just fund out about this game's existence yesterday. The marketing must've been non existent.

I am kind interested, the art direction is awesome, but i haven't seen any gameplay at all.

I was actually going to play Observer right around the time they announced the remaster. It went back on the backlog as soon as I heard about the remaster. I look forward to finally playing it.

I didn't really enjoy it as again, it's an UE4 game with zero ultrawide support.

I'll definitely wait for this new edition, as the previous fact along with HDR support means I can enjoy this on my TV.

The developer said no PC version for now, so we'll probably have to wait a year for the PC version.

I just had to check my Steam library because im sure I remembered buying this game when it released and it looks like I did but never played it. Im glad I didn't now.

The differences are very noticeable and they look great.

I played the Redux version demo and it had a section where you had to sneak around and hide and avoid a monster, so definitely not a walking simulator going by that but perhaps that section was added in for the Redux version? Never played the original.

Looks cringeworthy but I get the appeal. Reminds me of how Wii got insanely successful.

@sban83: It is mostly a walking simulator.

I would like to check this out. I enjoyed it the first time, and I wouldn't mind double dipping if the price is right.

That's a solid upgrade. If it comes to PC, then i'll grab it... If not, i'll buy for PS5 when in a few months.

Great game, too bad layers of fear 2 was really bad.
