You got that backwards. I was asking if he really needed to ask if HL2 was better than MP3, in a sarcastic tone. OF CORSE GET MP3! A game that is suppose to revolutionaize FP games as we know it compared to a 3 year old (right?) PC game? MP3 WILL win. Sorry, I forgot sarcasm + internet = :(

I played, beat and got bored of Half Life 2 in February 2005. If you haven't played it, get it on PC, any PC can run it and its cheap. If you want a new and fresh experience and if you don't own very many games for your Wii, then MP3:C will be your only choice.
Half-Life 2 is a sublime game, my favorite action game of the 21st century. Only RE4 and Bioshock have come close, you will be amazed by how well it tells it's story and the pacing is top notch, it's a pristine gaming experience. That's only half of it, a whole community has been built around the game and Valve actively encourage user made content. It's such a wholesome package, boasting brilliant single player and multi-player. You should of got the game at launch like I did, but none-the-less get the Orange box.
MP3:C will have to pull out all the stops to top HL2.
Half-Life 2 is an amazing game, and I'd go as far as to call it a must-own
as for Metroid Prime 3 it may become one like some of the past games in the franchise were, but I really doubt it will be as good as Half-Life 2 unless it is not only as good but superior to Metroid Prime for the gamecube
so go with Half-Life 2 now, and Metroid Prime 3 if it lives up to the hype later
