What are you looking forward to from Ubisoft? Or has Ubisoft disappointed you too many times to care?😮
They can invoke interest in me by announcing some lighthearted, original stuff accompanied by good gameplay, as they have done in the past with things like Rayman, PoP, Beyond Good & Evil, Mario x Rabbids.
But I think it's inifintely more likely they will only present regurgitated crap that they've been known to make for many years now and shown no sign of stopping.
I guess seeing some more of that new 2D PoP game would be nice.
Star Wars Outlaws baby.
yea, very curious about this one. I think Massive are an excellent and honestly underrated dev team. probably Ubisofts best studio at this point
Agree, one of the most impressive games shown this summer. Maybe a bit too much FarCry, but overall very cool!
The first part of the demo was uninteresting but the hovercycle (not sure of the name) was interesting and it looks like framerate is more stable than Jedi Survivor. Too much cinematics but the visuals are great.🤷🏽♂️
I'm actually sold on Outlaws and taking off, jumping into hyperspace was the best part. This is clearly what Star Wars 1313 was supposed to be so I bet Ubisoft just took the ideas and made it their own. I'm there on day one for Star Wars: Outlaws for sure as I'm starting to get stale playing a Jedi/Force user as it is.
Looks like AC is a return to form and the GI (global illumination) in Mirage is freaking good.
I need to wait for reviews before I can get myself back into AC but I admit, Mirage did look good indeed.
I'm probably the only one who preferred the more RPG-Witcher 3 style direction they'd gone in.
Valhalla was a top-3 AC game for me, easy. they just needed to make those games shorter with less copy/paste content.
Super hyped for the avatar game, looks like basically farcry 3-5 ( let’s not mention the terrible 6!) in an avatar setting and drawing on all the avatar lore, I am sold!
My general feelings towards Ubisoft are that I'd love to be able to do without them, but they a.) still make some really great games, and b.) own a lot of IP's I have played for many years and look forward to.
Anyway, my thoughts, if you care :P
Avatar:
I think not making the Avatar game an MMO is a real missed opportunity. It's a perfect set up: nativa navi vs human invaders. Strong and natural vs bold and mechanical. Two really awesome factions with a lot of opportunity for different classes, mechanics, and PvE and PvP.
With that said, I think it still looks really great. I hope it takes the best aspects of Anthem (flying, beautiful world) and gives us a lot of good open-world gameplay that I've come to enjoy in the AC games. I used to dislike the open-world nature of games like Far Cry and AC but the recent installments of AC (Origins onward) has really added a lot of purpose and joy to the side quests and activities.
Star Wars: Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws also looks fun. I think Star Wars does a lot of good without Jedi/Sith or Skywalker involvement, so I am looking forward to a game that exists away from that whole conflict and sort of carves out its own story and world/s. Was nice to actually see some gameplay, too. Looks like there is an emphasis on stealth gameplay, too, which is a bonus!
Will be nice to play a SW action game where you play Han-Solo-but-not-Han-Solo. She actually looks like a cool character, too. Plus the pet dog-thing!
AC Mirage
AC Mirage should be nice. Looking forward to going back, seems like it is exploring its roots a bit more than recent games, which seem to take place either long before the order was formally established, or long after.
Everything else:
Don't really care about their shooters at this point. Or most of their multiplayer stuff. It all is just too flashy or to sell microtransactions, and it appeals to a demographic I don't think I am part of any more.
Nice to see the Anno series briefly mentioned. I skimmed through so I might have missed it, but did they announce anything for it? They've been cranking out a lot of great DLC for Anno 1800 but I feel it is time for a new installment, or perhaps a new spin on the franchise.
Ubisoft games just never appeal to me, not sure why their games bother me. They all seem the same be it Ass Creed, Tomb Raider, or Star Wars 🤷♂️
Only game really interested in is AC Mirage and that's only because they are scaling it down from the mainline series.
Just watched the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay, and is it just me or this is Watch Dogs all over again? The visuals, particle effects, packed geometry, being able to fly without loading screen is smelling like bullshit to me.
This is pretty much what i am expecting.
@mrbojangles25:No Prince of Persia?
Sadly, was never really a huge fan of the series. I know it's a game from many peoples' childhoods and there's fond memories of it.
Might give it a go depending on reception, however.

I didn't like Sand of Time but I am a sucker for some action/plaforming/sidescroller.😊
I'm not opposed to an occasional cookie cutter open world UBI game (see Horizon) so I might check out some of these at a steep discount.
@mrbojangles25:No Prince of Persia?
I think it looks great! Have you seen the Gamespot preview?
ok i might be sold on it now.
Dead Cells, which I recently played, really sold me on the side-scroller genre as something I can get behind.
Liking the direction I'm seeing as far as gameplay and art direction on this game, too. Inspired by previous games, but with a forward-facing outlook.
