So, I’ve been thinking about this for a while. But I don’t know much about this concept of gaming because it was a bit before my time. I grew up on Windows, and never had a DOS.

What are any experiences you may have had??

As a kid, I watched my brother play through Phantasmagoria. Remember it to be pretty fucked up.

You had a lot of games in the 90's into the early 2000's that had FMV cut scenes some had choices during them then you had games that nothing but FMV.

Games that come to mind is Silent Steel, Toonstruck, Star Trek Starfleet Academy, Tex Murphy games, Command & Conquer, Star wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2

Silent Steel for me was really cool, because you were put into the shoes of a modern sub captain trying to prevent a conflict while figuring out who sabotaging the mission while being hunted by enemy sub.

I've seen FMV games release for years but haven't bothered to touch any of them until trying Immortality and Telling Lies on Game Pass. Actually enjoyed both of those.

Beyond that, Quantum Break was probably the most FMV loaded game I played since Sega CD days and kind of phased out during PS1 era.

I hear great things about all those games.

Wish I enjoyed that genre, but I do not :(

Beat me to it. C&C is the only game that used FMV where I actually loved it.

Kane in c&c3 was so 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 lol

Wing Commander 3 and 4 had a good story with some fairly well done FMV. Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell and a few other surprisingly big names.
