Best Adventure Game on PC, Nominees

The adventure genre quietly lived on this year. Traditional adventure games have become much less prominent than in years past and now appeal most to a niche market of players who still enjoy the story-driven puzzle-solving gameplay they offer. Fortunately, adventure gamers did have at least a couple of solid games to choose from this year, including the following nominees for GameSpot's Best PC Adventure Game award for 2002:

Shadow of Destiny

Publisher: Konami
Developer: Konami

It may seem ironic that Shadow of Destiny, one of the best PC adventure games to come around in some time, was originally a console game.

Syberia

Publisher: DreamCatcher Interactive
Developer: Microids

Syberia proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the adventure game genre is still full of life.
