Each character can equip a single accessory in addition to a weapon and armor. These extra pieces of equipment serve a variety of purposes - some protective, some offensive - but they all let you customize your characters to suit the strategic approach you want to take and react to unfavorable combat conditions. Remember that you can swap your accessories even in the midst of combat by using the Item command!
