Gotham City Impostors is the Humor of Team Fortress with Call of Duty's gameplay.

To begin with, this is just my second review. I am going to analyze some different things and then tell you why I gave this game an 8.

Graphics-
They leave something to be desired, but I can't help but find these silly character models and zany cities nothing, if not charming. I love the sense of humor behind the developer and it shows right from graphics, to sound, to gameplay. I haven't put as much time is to this game as I should yet, but I feel 10-20 hours in a purely online shooter is sufficient. The other thing that one might notice about the graphics is how similar they are to Valve's Team Fortress 2. This is true and it brings all the same cartoony fun you would expect to go along with that.

Sound-
Sound in this game is unique to put it lightly. I really enjoy the comic book style grinding when you use your makeshift grappler, or the zipping noise when you divebomb foes in your glider. It's these sounds that really capture the games enthusiasm. It is also important to note that stuff like this in a shooter game may not appeal to the more serious shooter clientele.

Gameplay-
Here is where things get fun. There are premade playable classes in this game that are each abundantly fun in their own way. I prefer the medic simply because no one else uses it. Each class is so unique. For example, every class has a gadget unique to them, your standard assault class has that makeshift grappler they can use. There is a stealth class that can drink a potion and go invisible. The medic has roller skates to help him fly around the map to aid his teammates.

These little things make each class unique, however that is not all that separates the classes. Each class also has a different body type. This game runs on health points, not your standard "OH MY GAWD MY SCREENS IS RED AND BLOTCHY". When you run out of HP, you die. The medic has, and this is very entertaining, are megaphone that he runs around with screaming encouraging word at his dying friends that will return HP and also give them a defensive boost. When talking about the body types, size matters. For example, the smaller your body type is the harder you are to hit, but the less hits it takes to kill you. This is the opposite for the more burly body types.

Critical hits are also present in GCI in the manner or if you get a headshot on someone you will do sufficiently more damage. Which bring us to the arsenal. You have many different weapons at your disposal throughout GCI. Anything from a Bow and Arrow, to a Slingshot Grenade Thrower, to the ever coveted Freeze Ray. These weapons which you unlock at your own pace make the game really fun.

Bottom Line-
I gave this game an 8, because I believe as a DLC only game it doesn't have the same level of thrills or enjoyment as a full game, not that it couldn't have. The game lacks single payer, which for me is sad, because I love playing through campaigns and could have totally seen one present here. The games leveling system is fast and enjoyable throwing unlock at your face left and right. The main thing to note, that while online only and lacking a single player campaign, this game is still incredibly fun and needs a huge online following to be great. This is so easy to accomplish given the games meager $15 dollar price tag. Did you hear me? THIS GAME IS ONLY $15 BUCKS.
