It's got enough tracks to keep you entertained but is biassed towards recent material

User Rating: 8.5 | Green Day: Rock Band X360
Green Day Rock Band is exactly what it says on the tin. It's Rock Band but you only play Green Day songs as the band members. There are 47 songs in total which is a decent amount but is eclipsed by similar games like Guitar Hero 5 which has 85. Dookie and American Idiot are here in their entirity, and 21st Century Breakdown can be completed with downloadable content. Sadly, there are only 7 songs from the rest of the discography which is a shame because overall it doesn't represent Green Day's career very well and is biassed towards their newer material. When you compare the albums, the older songs are much faster and technical, so a lot of the songs seem a bit easy. All the songs are unlocked to begin with, so you can play the modern songs first and then explore the older songs for the harder challenge. Annoyingly, the vocal career can only be played with a microphone rather than a Live Headset, and given that Song of the Century is vocals only; there are a few achievements that cannot be done without it. Completing the songs and achieving the higher star ratings rewards you with unlockables that include challenges, videos, and images. The challenges are usually set of 3 songs but there are also ones to play the entire albums from start to finish. Since it only consists of Green Day songs, fans will quickly snap it up, and non fans will probably overlook it. However, I've enjoyed playing Guitar Hero Van Halen when I only knew 2 songs, so it's at least worth renting for fans of Rock Band.
