top notch, this is what DIRT should have been!!

having played the demo, i couldn't wait to get my hands on the full version. i can say it was worth the wait. codemasters have managed to make a game that handles well, is easy to pick up but rewarding if you put the time in. visually its stunning. dare i say it looks better than DIRT but the key factor is it runs so so much better, 1650x1050 running high/ultra sees 30fps minimum on my machine, even when there are loads of cars crashing on screen nothing slows down. DIRT just had a fit at these settings. No game crashes or BSOD to report thus far which is also nice! lots of variety with cars and tracks, the drifting in japan is pretty tough but fun. Online is simple, just join a race, wait for it to finish and jump in on the next one, no lag and quick and easy to set up.
overall, this is a great looking game, very great in fact, that has been coded to run on lower end machines too and still look good. if you love driving games and have a half decent PC then you cant go wrong with this, its the best driving game out there in my opinion. GO BUY!!!!!
