Even though Gordon Freemen has been diggen up back from the dead and now brought to the Playstation 2 and onto a console for the first time. Who could possibly forget the 1998 masterpiece that was released for the PC and was the revolution for games to come out for the 21st century. Half-Life may have been Valves one and only game to be released but the quality and the time they took the make it is unbelievable. There isn't one other first person shooter/sci-fi based for the PS2 or all gaming devices that comes anywhere near Half-Life This was my second game for my PS2 and it's one of the best FPS I've ever played on a console. There isn't one other PS2 FPS that would come anywhere near Half-Life even if its a remake of a three year old game. Time doesn't seem to age Half-Life because it is the perfect game. The game feels just as good as the PC version and the transfer that was made from the PC to the Playstation 2 was done brilliantly. You won't be putting down your controller for a very long time either, because you always want to go that little bit further because the story is so involving. The graphics just look unbelievable. The game has it's own energy and special feel to it and the environments go far beyond your imagination and the detailing that goes into the aliens and the buildings are highly polished. The graphics are actually better than the PC version. The sound is what you'd come to expect. Just like your in another galaxy and a realm far beyond our solar system. The sounds of the creatures are just done unbelievably well and they truly seem like they're real and totally believable. You'll be kept busy for a very long time to come with Half-Life even when you come near to the end of the game or when you've finally completed it. With all the hidden areas, secret stashes of weapons and ammo, you'll be trapped in the game for a very long time to come. With the new decay 2 player feature you'll be kept busy with your friends for a very long time. Even if you have played half-Life before of if your a first timer. The latest version for the PS2 is definetly worth picking up. With all the graphics updated, added in new areas, and a couple of re-arranged scenes. This is definelty the best FPS currently available for the PS2.
