Halo 5: Pay to win

User Rating: 7 | Halo 5: Guardians XONE

Campaign:

The campaign overall was okay. I really enjoyed the new controls and game mechanics, however this is not really an improvement over previous halo games, because they removed previous mechanics in place of new mechanics. Playing through the campaign is way to short and felt pointless. The only good parts are the cut scenes, and i didn't pay $84 for this game to watch cut scenes.

You only get to play as Blue Team for only 3 missions, which sucks. The ending of this game is horrible. This is probably the worst campaign of any of the games.

Multiplayer:

Multiplayer is good, however unlocking new cosmetics in req packs, such as new helmets and armor takes forever. This was probably done on purpose due to the fact the game has added micro transactions, allowing players to buy req packs, which in Warzone can become very cheap allowing "paying players" to have more of an assortment of cards to overwhelm players who don't pay. Arena has a more classic Halo feel to it, which is good, but you barely gain req points for finishing an Arena match compared to Warzone. I did enjoy Halo 5's multiplayer, but only do to how the game's new controls handle, not because of Warzone. Warzone can get boring fast.

Overall: 7

The game is good, but don't make the same mistake I did in purchasing this game. Don't let the mainstream (payed) game reviewers tell you this game is a 9 or higher, cause it's not. It is in no way better than previous Halo games, when compared to such games as Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4. I personally do not recommend buying this game to anyone, it is just a huge waste of time and money. I plan on trading mine in.
