Injustice makes for a fun fighting game, with a pretty good story mode.

So let's start with the story it's a bit complicated actually. Joker ends up killing Lois Lane and Superman's unborn Son, so in retaliation to this Superman kills Joker and establishes a new world order. Of course this doesn't sit well with many other heroes in the DC Universe so basically there is a battle between both sides hence coining the name for the game, Injustice, Gods Among Us in the way that Superman is turning the whole world into a dictatorship and that the other heroes that don't agree with them and are trying to stop him, by fighting against him and the other superheroes that join them not making this a human issue but a superhero issue making the term Gods among us stand for the DC Universe. So this is where the story starts to confuse me. Basically Batman and Joker from an alternate universe are sent to this universe and help the opposition to stop Superman. Superman appears to be to strong and the opposition is believed to be unable to beat Superman so Batman from the alternate universe tells this Batman to bring Their Superman to stop them, and at first Batman is skeptical of it but knows that it is their only hope so he agrees and brings Superman to this universe and then they stop the other Superman and put him in a chamber where he can't use his superpowers and then the Superman from the alternate reality admits that if he lost his wife and kid in his universe that he might do the same thing. I'll admit the story isn't perfect it is a bit all over the place sometimes but it's not bad I like it in fact most fighting games don't even have a story mode so this is kind of a bonus and it is kind of cool I like the idea they went with, because most people see Superman as a great person but would he continue to be that great person if he lost something dear to him? And that's what I really like about this story.

Next we have the Presentation of the game it looks nice It's not the best looking game on the Wii U but there are many areas like Gotham that look really nice and detailed. There are a lot of levels from the comics and a lot of them have different items and things that you can use to your advantage they add more depth to the gameplay and I liked the way they set up these areas. The voice acting is also great every super hero has their own special charteristics to them and it's great. Also Aquamans reputation has made a turn for greatness he is awesome in this game and not the jokeable hero everyone puts him out to be.

Now let's talk about the Gameplay, now let me start off by saying I don't play a whole ton of fighting games so I'm not the most knowledgeable person on them but I will tell you the way I felt about the combat in this game. It's a bit slow, it's not bad but I guess I prefer more of a faster type of combat but for what it is it's not bad and I do like the combat in it, just felt like it could be a little better. The combos can be a little arduous in this game though because it's always like move the controller stick in a certain movement and you have to be really precise and maybe it's just me but I can never do it right and I just don't care for it. The special moves in this game are awesome but after you do play for a while they do get a little stale after awhile, I wish they would of made one more special move and it would make it a little better. There are a lot of good characters, and most DC comic fans will be pleasantly surprised to see a lot of their favorites in the game. Throughout the story mode there are a lot of mini game type features where you must either shoot arrows, throw cards or other Quicktime event based parts of the game that just break up the immersion of the game and I just wish they would have gotten rid of these features.

Overall Injustice God's Among Us is a fun game I just feel that there were certain parts they could of done better, the character selection, the story mode, and even the combat for the most part is pretty good but I just hope if they make another installment I hope they polish it up a little more, but I still had fun with this game and if you are a DC comics fan, you should definitely get this game.
