The game doesn't even come close to its predecessors.

I've spent hundrets of hours playing JA games and this game was a total letdown.

I've mentioned this because it is a clear remake of and "old" title and as such should probably be an improved version. But unfortunately it fails utterly and completely.

The only aspect of the game where this game is better than its predecessor is its graphics which is fine. It's not mindblowing, stunning or anything else, just nothing wrong with it.

Unfortunately JA games were loved because of the tactical/strategical/RPG blend that was one of the (if not the) best and with this game that system was removed and a generic vastly limited RPG style was implemented instead.

While the old RPG system allowed for prolonged training of any merc, now this is limited by the mercs level and low - level mercs are simply useless and pointless to hire.

Although there are many options in combat, there is only a few valid ones (mostly the "fire a bullet and wait for enemies to run in your line of sigt" applies), and trying to experiment with different tactics usually ends fith disastrous consequences.

Strategical map is rather OK though and movement around it and fight for control of valuable resources is reasonably balanced.

Although there was much debate about the freshly implemented Play & Go system it's not completely useless (only mostly) it is IMO still far behind the old turn-based combat.

Unfortunately I must say the game is not really appealing because it lacks the element that would draw a player to replay it again and again.
