It's very rare that a game series can jump between a bright and happy world, to a dark and mysterious dystopia without completely screwing up. But in Jak II it flows perfectly. It's a big step up from the first game, which I love, I think it's an incredibly well-made game, but Jak II is even better. The action never stops, Haven City is really impressive to look at, Daxter provides lots of comedy, and the controls are easy. Nothing has ever been made like this on the Playstation 2. The fact that Jak can talk actually makes the character more interesting and mysterious, Daxter is funnier than he was in the first game, the story is more interesting and not quite as jumbled up, and there's whole range of new supporting characters, from the jumpy Vin, to the cool and overpowering Sig. The weapons are a plus too. But the Blaster weapon is the best, because it's like an easier to shoot sniper. Overall, Jak II is one of those games that will never.
