Well, I'll start saying I'm not an RPG player, I'm an action game player. I decided to buy this game after playing the demo, even having some flaws that sadly weren't fixed in the final product.
My previous unique RPG experience was Diablo 2, and seeing the KOA demo it looked kinda D2 in the Ability tree, looting. So I decided to give it a chance, so let's talk about the game.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pros:
• No lag or freeze issues considering it's a vast world. You could notice some stuttering but only happens when there are lots of enemy (like 8 or more) in the area. But those situations are rare to happen.
• Beautiful graphics and soundtrack that never distract at all from the action. There are even occasions where you almost don't notice the background music engaging with the combat.
• Lots of stuff to collect: herbs, potions, armor's pieces, weapon, items, etc.
• A lot of locations and side quest to level you up.
• Cool and fun combat system. Weapon's weight feels so cool that makes you play more and more, it's definitively the engaging part of the game.
• Well balanced Abilities and Destinies choices, even you can change your destiny any time you want paying a merchant.
• Excellent use of Stealth mode, nice sensitivity of lock-picking option.
• Any race or style fighter can use any weapon in the game, not restrictions at all. So you can master every weapon.
• Merchants really sell cool stuffs, even weapons. I finished the campaign with a powerful sword I bought.

Cons:
• The big one that prevent the game to have better scores: The CAMERA, many times is so close to the protagonist and obviously the cam absolutely respect invisible walls so when you're moving the camera your view is blocked sometimes. Yes, many people will say: it's just getting use to it, but here's the second problem: the point of view (POV) is low and considering the world is mostly unbalanced paths (hills, mountains, stairs, etc), so when you turn the camera you'll see just the upper or the lower part of the view, yes, misplaced camera. It doesn't happen every time but it happens.
• The shield, it's mostly ineffective because it takes a weird timing to block, and sometimes a disastrous delay, mostly because the shield doesn't exist, you invoke it when you push a button. That's why you'll find yourself mostly rolling. Another thing, but it's not a problem just an opinion, I would liked that in the same way that you feel the weapons well balanced same thing happen with shield too, considering that exist 3 kind of shields. Opportunity wasted.
• The story is well told but it's not really deep so if you are a hardcore Rpg player maybe you feel the game kinda boring.
• The most of the side quest don't have any connection with the main story and many times your decisions don't affect your reputation in the towns.
• There are many ways to make the game easy (even in hard difficulty) so if you abuse of them your gameplay will be really boring.
• There isn't big differences between races, just a couple of skill points when you begin the game. This and the option to change your abilities anytime in the game basically destroy the replaybility value, unless you just want to start a new campaign because you failed to do some quest or didn't buy training that later in the game you're prohibited to do it.
• Crafting is someway absurd, when you're master crafter can make badass equipment but they have an scandalous durability (that means they are really weak).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In general, the game is fun, mostly because the combat system and the cool stuff you find looting. I would just add that the gameplay it's not GodofWar as many people say. If you're a real action player like me you'll see it. It's fantastic because it's not dull like many rpgs. Maybe being smoother with a better deflect system (shield) and a more accurate roll would been like god of war. It's just action oriented like Prince of Persia or Alice madness.

Recommendations :
First of all. You want to know if the game is really Easy? Just take the task "Long Overdue" assigned to you almost at the beginning of the game. You have to find 10 books hidden all over the world. It's the best excuse to explore the world and find how hard enemies are.
Get your first house asap (webwood map) so you'll have more space for looting.
Don't abuse of chakrams, this weapons are excellent because their range and effective against almost all enemies. Try every weapon, try to master them.
Later in the game (level 20-something) choose a Jack of all trades destiny, so you'll avoid to be an overpower magician or warrior.
Don't desperate trying to dispell chests because at the beginning of the game some spells are hard to break and you'll be cursed, remember that loot it's absolutely random, so not necessarily the item(armor set piece) you're searching is in that cursed chest.
Don't pick up unnecessary stuff when you're looting, some items can't be removed of your stash if you find them before you have the correspondent task.
Don't forget to use your reckoning power once the bar is full, it's the best way to increase levels quickly.
Enjoy it, it's a very good game. Thanks for reading.
