All criticisms I have about this game can be attributed to the low level cap.

I don't think I have to write about the many reasons why this game is amazing. Most of the other reviews do an excellent job of explaining that. And indeed, the game is amazing. But, I'll explain the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

The level cap of 40, it's too low. All criticisms I have about this game can be attributed to the low level cap.

First off, it's no secret that the team who created this game is awesome. Curt Schilling, although an athlete, is a nerd, which is a good thing. He's played more than one MMO and the influence can be seen here. This game is very close to being a single player World of Warcraft.

So why, with the hundreds of quests, and the many things to do, is the level cap in this game 40? You will hit 40 even if you only do a few side quests. You will almost definitely cap at 40 if you do a DLC, and even more so if you do both. The problem is, once you reach the level cap, your motivation to do all the beautiful things the game has to offer will decrease. An increase in the level cap would fix that.

Secondly, the game is too easy. Even on hard mode, once you figure out the kind of equipment to equip to become powerful, you are essentially invincible. For anyone who has played an MMO, you will have this knowledge, and it will make you unstoppable. And no, even though I play a lot of games, I am not hardcore in the sense that everything is easy to me, making me say "Thank you sir, may I have another?!" I can be a wimp, but his game is too easy for even a wimp.

This is all a shame too, because this game is rich, and I mean RICH, with content and lore. And a lot of it will go to waste for most people, because the lack of challenge will make your character a god. It sounds great... but only at first.

So, excuse the negative review. This is still an amazing game set in a beautiful and immersive world. Get it, just don't expect to be challenged.
