Gameplay and story are amazing, while quests(not main) are boring and characters are lacking identity.Great game although

User Rating: 8 | Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning PC
Reckoning is the first game of this new company and they made an excellent premiere.Reckoning, an open world RPG with a fighting system out of an action game.I'm going to review this game using good and bad aspects.
+DLCs Teeth of Naros and Dead Kel

Good.

1) Game world is a true masterpiece. Handcrafted, incredible landscapes that deserve a screenshot and "set as background", uncountable places to visit and explore, from wild forest of Dalentarth full of wildlife and adventures to crystal, dark valley like Alabastra, from green fields and valleys of Plains of Erathell to Detyre desert and Klurikon swamps.

2) Gorgeous graphics, considering you have a strong machine and play at full settings.Great UI also.

3) Very good, non-linear storyline. No spoilers* but I just wanna say that the game keeps you in dark until end.As you progress trough story you are finding out more and more about yourself and your life before you came back from the dead. It's not the first time we see something like this, but it's still pretty much amazing.Bosses are amazing and hard and that final boss, that so-called god is great. That's what a dragon should look like not like those pu**y ass dragons in Skyrim.

4) Great sound and soundtracks.

5) Many NPC's to interact, many guilds to join and beautiful cities to visit. Only minus here is that cities are not fully explorable, as they are in Skyrim,Gothic or Oblivion.

6) GAMEPLAY.Reckoning isn't like most games in this aspect,in fact there are few rpg games whose combat system is enjoyable like this. It's not just hack and slash you have variety of moves with your weapon of choice and you learn more moves by leveling up.Lots of abilities and spells to learn and your character is fully customizable and you can turn him in whatever you want, twists of fate and other.Reckoning mode is also awesome.

7) Great variety of monsters, weapons, armors and miscs.

Bad.

1) Chest loot is randomly generated and does not reward players who spent time exploring the world. You may spent half an hour to,I don't know, climb a mountain, kill its monsters, enter its cave, break 10 lockpicks to open its chest and voila! You may get some crude iron sword!!! As you would if you opened a chest in your first minutes in the game...So annoying and disappointing.

2) The worst aspect of the game is certainly it's side quests(not guild quests, they're cool).Generic quests(I think that's the right word).Stupidity, they are all the same go somewhere and kill something. And that's really disappointing about this game, they really could work on that one.

Can't remember any more...

Conclusion is that Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a memorable and enjoyable rpg and you should buy it definitely.
