Great splitscreen multiplayer, nice new graphics.

Marathon 2 is one of my favorite first-person shooters of all time, so when I got my Xbox 360, this enhanced port was one of the first things I downloaded. The new HD graphics are good, but thankfully it allows you to make the game exactly like the original, right down to the super-pixellated sprites and view angle.

Online play seemed fun to me, but to my dismay no one (literally, no one) plays this game online. This makes it hard to get some of the Live-exclusive Achievements; thankfully, though, most can be earned even with one person and two controllers. Which brings me to my next minor complaint: most of the Achievements have a weird Gamerscore value like 7 (huh huh huh) or 14. This is only a minor thing for OCD guys like me, though.

The only major complaint I have is that, like the original, you can save at any time as long as a terminal is nearby. In some cases (the flooding-water level comes to mind), this means you can literally be unable to continue if you save too often, and you have to start the entire game over again.
