Metal Gear Solid 3 is a very incredible experience that you will will come back to again and again.
Story
This Metal Gear Solid game takes place before the first 2 and features the very first Snake who is trying to rescue Solokov and eliminate his former mentor the Boss who was once Snakes teacher and stop a powerful machine known as the Shagohod to destroy the world.
Gameplay
The gameplay is hardly unchanged but the enviroment certainly has and with it a few new things thrown in. First of all whenever Snake takes damage you have to heal him in the Cure section with all sorts of different things like Bandages,Splints,Disinfectant and most other things. That part does tell you what areas need healing. Also there's Medicines in case Snake gets poisoned by something or eats something he shouldn't have. You will get help via Codec as a tutorial.
The game is still Stealth based if you are spotted enemies will come and try to kill you but there are situations where you can use a very new set of tools like a Camoflauge to blend into your surroundings and not get noticed. There are Dark Camoflauges and even ones that let you pass off as a Scientist as well as Camoflauges that let you blend into the grass. Each works well and with how good that one is known by a percentage in the top right hand corner of the screen saying how good that Camoflague is with the area you are in.
You can still sneak past enemies or just shoot them or put them to sleep with a Tranquliser Gun. You certainly aren't absent from firepower there are the usual Rifles,RPGs,Shotguns,Pistols etc. The Bosses in the game are by far the most intresting in the series. There is one where you don't even have to fight him you can just change the date on your console to 7 days in front. A shootout,A battle with a power tank like thing and one where you have to wear certain Goggles to spot them because the area is pitch black.
Snake will also have a Stamina meter if he runs low on Stamina he will act differently his tummy will rumble and he will hardly be able to move. So apart from shooting bad guys you will have to catch certain food to keep him going. Some food though will be good and some might be very bad that you have to cure him.
Presentation
The series is known for its cut scenes and this game has some long ones but probaly some ones you have to watch because they are just like watching a top notch action movie. The cast again is fantastic David Hayter is on top form as Snake in this game. Whilist you are out in the wildlife you will he certain animal noises and grass movements as you crawl through it really is well put together its just incredible. The ending as well is definetly one of the most memorable ever made.
Lastability
About 15 hours of for the Single Player but you shall play it again because of the experience but there are also a few things to check out as well after you have beat the game.
Overall Opinion
Not many games in the world you can call flawless but Metal Gear Solid 3 is certainly one of the best game experiences you are ever likely to have. It is an incredible experience from start to finish. With a strong story,amazing gameplay as well as incredible scenery. It is a gaming experience you aren't gonna forget in a hurry.
