Love the series, not sure about this one just yet
First, I DO NOT like the pulse pitching mechanic. It's too fast, too random, and too hard to be precise. You end up throwing batting practice fastballs right over the heart of the plate almost every other pitch and end up losing 6-0 1/2 way through the 1st inning. Extremely frustrating,
Second, I don't care for the push-button batting, I like analog swing stick. They made this game more for PS move than they did the dual-shock IMO, and I think they ruined the core gameplay to do it.
On a positive note, the RTTS mode is still fantastic. They made it easier to level up and progress, even if the mode is largely the same as it has been. Not alot of additions and advancements, but still a good time.
The best part of this game is the HR Derby with the move. If you can stomach the $60 price tag for a fun multiplayer game with your friends, then the show 2012 is ok. Personally, I wish I would have waited until next year when some of the new features have been ironed out and work smoother.
Rent it, don't buy it
