MLB 14 The Show is a continuation of the greatest sports franchise in gaming today. Not Madden, Not PGA Golf, Not NHL, Not any other sports game on any system can touch the majesty of the MLB: the Show series.
I'm currently playing this game on PS4. I gave this a 9 out of 10 because I've seen the PS3 version and the PS4 version, they both look and play pretty closely, I'd like to have a quantum leap forward with both aspects from a generation leap, but I would think that they will have that in place by next season.
The road to the Show mode is where it's at for me. Create a player, assign everything from physical attributes to gear, to batting stances and enter the draft. Work your way up through the Minor League affiliate and get the call up to the big club, then work your way up to all-star level against today's greatest players. You only play interactions you are directly involved with, so games go quick. I'm in my 5th season as the starting 3rd baseman with the Chisox and no signs of stopping. I own XboxOne and PS4, my x1 has been collecting dust since I bought this game.
Franchise mode is magnificent as well. Choose your favorite team and head out for a full season playing against rivals in every MLB stadium. The stadiums, crowds, and environments are amazing. You are also able to customize your interaction with the game with different pitching styles and batting styles, you have control over fielding options and cameras, even over Umpire AI.
This game is a must have for PS4 sports enthusiasts. I can't express in words how much I love this game.
