ModNation is an awesome game with some frustrating flaws
It starts off with a simple race where all you have to do is finish, easy enough. Then you head to the ModSpot where you will do most of your creating. There is a Mod, track, and kart creation place where you can.. well create. You will also find that you can download other people's tracks, karts, and Mods but the catch is you can't edit them. Fair enough. There is alson a place where you can see the top kart or mod and race the hottest tracks. There is also a place where you do all your racing.
I started career mode and before you know it I was at the loading screen, this was a real problem since the loading screen was unbearably long and after a few races it does get to you. Racing is fun as you see the great graphics in store but be prepared to lose at least a few races if you don't pay attention while you'rer racing. The AI are very tough to beat and it is annoying that when you think you won they hurl a rocket at you or they boost in front of you. The awards are pretty good though as you can get more parts , Mods, and beating the race awards you with a track.
Online mode is not that great as it can get very choppy and you can easily find yourself last place. The only thing I did not have a problem with is the Split Screen Mode where it was somewhat fair.
All in all though it provides players who love to race a challenge and people with a good imagination to create whatever they want. And if you're not too interested in making something you could always get it from someone else.
