Little Big Planet feat. Super Mario Kart
Pros:
+ Massive and amazing creation tools. Lots of resources to use and to mod, in any way you want.
+ Gigantic online community, with gargantuan amount of stuff to find online, meaning tracks, karts and mods - And lots of racing that you can do with everyone who's online for the moment.
+ Building tracks, karts and mods will amass grand amount of your time, and it's all fun while doing it.
+ The karts are easy to control and fun to ride.
+ Lots of ideas taken straight from the Mario Kart series, that have been implemented in a creative way.
Cons:
- Easy to start career mode, but once you go further than 4-5 first tracks, the game goes from fun, to flaming purgatory of hell..
- Computer AI is a pain in the neck, during any race you run offline. Consider yourself lucky if you manage to pass the finish line on 1st place, when CPU is firing missiles and whatnot at you at the milisecond your kart's nose nudges the finish line...
- You have to unlock every item through career mode, in order to be able to enjoy them while playing around in the Creation Station - and it ain't an easy task to take on, considering you HAVE to finish 1st on most tracks to unlock major parts and items, AND win the so called "Grudge Match" against the current track's antagonist.. However, you can, if you want, collect all the tokens on every track (which doesn't require for you to finish the race 1st, 2nd or 3rd) and buy minor parts at the Token Shop - But this isn't much of a comfort though, when all the juiciest parts and items are still tied and bound to finishing all the races on 1st place...
- The patch that came out was suppose to cut the loading times by half, but they still are pretty bad IMO...
So there you have it - Either collect all your persistance, patience, and ride out the big wave of 'Disappoint', when overwhelmed by the AI's ability to piss you off, when trying to run through the careed mode as if to unlock the unlockables and enjoy the game for what it is, or, skip the game and go grab Super Mario Kart, that still is the undefeated champion of kart racing games.
That's my two cents.
