The Monster Hunter franchise has been enhanced and polished to it's current masterpiece available only on the Nintendo 3DS, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
New weapons have been added for a total of 14. Old weapons remain mostly the same but have many more options for upgrading. Each weapon plays almost like a different game, as you learn the nuances and techniques of each. The customization available in this game both with weapons and armor is simply astounding.
Battle is a better experience, with completely new levels of play. The new ability of hunters to mount monsters backs is a lot of fun! New levels have been made to take advantage of this, with ledges and walls to climb all over the place.
The single player questing system is more streamlined and funner than ever. Online play is much easier to get into. The game just has so many good points. Pick it up and be prepared to sink 1000+ hours of life into this wonderful gem.
