Stars/Names sell tickets, not enough stars/names in this title.....game play way too hard!

This is one of the first games that I bought on PSP, but it seems to be one of the ones I play the least. Prior to this MK game the last game that I played was MK Trilogy, which basically featured everyone from the first 3 MK titles. MK Trilogy was one of the funnest games I had ever played, but here is the thing, I always had someone to play against in that game, as well as the other titles prior. Fast forward to 2007 when I start gaming again!!! I pick up MK Unchained for PSP and I am like WHOA?? What happened to everyone? Who are these people? Where is Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, Kano, Reptile, Kang Lao & the cyborgs? Why does Sub-Zero look like the Shredder from Ninja Turtles? I did see some of the stars we all know an love, but there were just way too many new faces. If you are going to bring out 1 game for the PSP system then the top names should all be there. Shang Tsung was in a cut scene but you can not even use him in the game.

What made MK so fun was playing with friends, the loser always handed his joystick to the next waiting player in the room, that was the rules, winner stayed on the joystick. Playing the computer on this game is way too damn hard. I see they have put a lot into this title, but you really have to be into MK to learn all the stuff you have to do in this game. Each character has like 3 different stances, and each stance has different moves. I mean you have to be totally hardcore to enjoy this title, because after you lose about 3 times, I'm like NEXT!!

I find myself playing the puzzle game more than the actual fighting. the puzzle game is like Tetris, with a different spin on it. hard to describe exactly what it is, but its fun and the possibility for progress is there, unlike the fighting aspect of the game. The graphics look really really good though, too bad I do not know half of the characters though lol. If you are a hardcore MK fan and own a PSP, get this title, but if you are a casual gamer, like games with a good story stay away from this title. I doubt another MK title will be coming to the PSP, so I keep my copy for when I get the itch, unfortunately that itch does not come often.
