Feel like an excellent expansion pack.

User Rating: 8 | Napoleon: Total War PC
Napoleon: Total War was originally designed to be a DLC for the Empire total war but the idea was soon dropped. However, the content wasn't. While there are much improvement in the graphic, control, stability and art design, better unit details, great musical soundtrack...They come with a price--MUCH fewer countries can be played with. In the Campaign of the Coalition, only Austria, Britain, Prussia and Russia are playable..whereas in Empire total war, the numbers are triple of than that of this one. The MOST frustrating part is the campaign is LIMITED solely on the European landmass..(Yes there's the conquest of Egypt but that hardly make up of a grand campaign) I started to miss the America, North Africa, Middle East, and South Asia after a few hours of game play. No more piracy to fight, no more trade routes to secure, navy become a luxury and can be totally omitted(Seriously, I used navy to transport troops only)

Of course, there are a large amount of minor improvements like Winder/Desert Attrition, units replenish on their own, Liberation of new countries, Revolution become serious threat, CPU AI improved...etc. but still, Empire Total war is much better. (Who gets 1/4 of the world "invadable" and massive amount of countries playable, so what it has poorer graphic?)

Furthermore, the invasion of Napoleon seems to be a little over-simplified. The game only make up to about little more than one-fourth of his battles and from what I know, there was Seven coalitions again Napleon but the game only made one..integrated briefly with 2-5 coalitions. And, Napoleon isn't that challenging..
