Nothing Like Real Basketball

I read a review calling this "a basketball sim"...it's more like a sim of video game basketball. They get a lot right, but so many things are way off. For example, when playing street ball, my point guard- Steph Curry, insisted on playing the low post while Dwight Howard stayed behind the 3 point line. The better ai players will dunk on you in traffic, no matter who happens to be there to defend. Also, I'm fairly sure that one-on-one, away from the basket, John Wall could get by Roy Hibbert (for those who don't know real basketball, that's a guard who is also one of the quickest players in the league against a center), but I couldn't get it to happen. It really does very little good to know anything about the real-life players, and that kind of negates the idea of a sim. The ai players will run out of bounds trying to get by you much more than you would EVER see in a real game. The new shot meter is horrible, partly bacause you can't see it half the time. The game looks great and has some fantastic animations, but it has a long way to go to be anything close to a sim. You will probably enjoy it a lot more if you don't play or watch real basketball.
